The first half of 2023 marked a transformative period in my journey, during which I embarked on a remarkable endeavour under the artistry name ‘Buddha: The Poet.’

Through my ‘Sunday Stanza’ series, I harnessed the power of spoken word poetry to reflect the tapestry of social and political events, both historical and contemporary.
These once weekly released stanzas eloquently explored a wide spectrum of subjects, spanning from contemporary British politics like the resignation of Matt Hancock, The King’s Coronation, Boris Johnson and Brexit, to pivotal issues including The Metropolitan Police and matters of sexual assault, domestic terrorism and British foreign policy.
They also delved into historical themes, such as colonialism and notable criminal acts, along with present-day international events like the Russia vs Ukraine conflict and the French Defense Minister’s critique of the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Addressing societal concerns, the stanzas tackled topics ranging from NHS strikes, knife crime, domestic abuse, and suicide.
With unwavering commitment, I meticulously crafted, performed, recorded, and shared these pieces across social media platforms every week.
